Use SSH keys for supported secure access

SSH keys can identify a trusted client without sharing a normal password.

Public vs private key

Only the public key belongs in services that ask you to register an SSH key. Keep the private key on your device.

Protect the private key

Do not upload or paste a private key into public or shared locations.

Remove old keys

Remove keys for devices you no longer use or trust.
