Connect a domain to your hosted service

Use Domain when a hosted web service should be reachable by a domain name instead of only an address and port.

Before connecting

Make sure the application is running correctly on its assigned port before adding DNS. Domain configuration cannot fix an application that is not listening.

DNS

Point the required DNS record to the target provided for your Volyx setup. DNS changes can take time to propagate.

HTTPS

HTTPS behavior depends on the domain and proxy configuration used by the service. Confirm the domain resolves correctly before debugging certificates.

Common issue

If the domain resolves but the service does not load, check the application port and host binding before changing DNS again.
