Server Overview
Overview is the main status page for a Volyx server. It gives you a quick picture of the server state, current resource usage, connection information, runtime details, recent activity, and the most common server controls.
Server header and status
At the top of Overview, Volyx shows the server name together with basic information such as the server number, software type, and current status.
The name you assigned to the server when creating it. This is mainly used to identify the service inside your account.
A Volyx server reference shown with the server. It helps identify which service you are viewing.
Shows the application or software family currently associated with the server, such as Node.js.
Shows the current server state. Depending on what the service is doing, you may see states such as starting, running, stopping, or offline.
A server can be running while the application inside it is still producing errors. Use Console when you need to confirm whether the application started correctly.
Summary cards
The cards near the top of Overview summarize important information about the current service.
Shows the remaining hosting period before the current subscription or hosting period reaches its expiration.
Shows how long the current server session has been running without restarting.
Shows the current response time between the Volyx panel and the server. Lower values generally indicate a faster response.
Shows the date when the server was originally created.
Hosting Left is about the remaining hosting period. Uptime is only the length of the current running session.
Quick Actions
Quick Actions provides the main power controls for the server.
Starts the server when it is currently stopped or offline.
Stops the current process and starts it again. Use this after configuration changes that require the application to restart.
Requests a normal server shutdown. This is usually the preferred way to stop a running service.
Forcefully terminates the running process when a normal stop is not working.
Kill is a force-stop action. Prefer Stop whenever the application is responding normally. A forced termination can interrupt work that the application was still writing or processing.
Resources
The Resources area gives you a quick live view of the server's current resource usage.
Shows the current processor usage generated by the server.
Shows the amount of memory currently being used together with the server's available memory limit.
Shows how much storage the server is currently using compared with its disk limit.
Shows network traffic generated by the server, including data sent and received.
Use View metrics when you need a more detailed look at resource activity rather than the quick values shown on Overview.
Short CPU or memory spikes can be normal during startup, builds, package installation, or heavy application activity. Investigate sustained or unexpected usage instead of relying on one reading.
Connection
The Connection section shows the network information associated with the server.
Shows the server's assigned connection address and port. This is the allocation applications can use when they need direct network access.
Shows where the server is hosted. The View location option can be used to inspect the location information available in the panel.
The server address is the direct network allocation. A custom domain is configured separately through the Domain section when your application needs one.
Server Information
This section contains technical identifiers and runtime information for the current server.
Shows the application or software type associated with the service.
Shows the runtime environment currently assigned to the service.
The numeric ID assigned to the server inside Volyx.
An additional identifier used to reference the server inside supported Volyx systems and interfaces.
Server ID and Identifier can help distinguish the exact service involved when troubleshooting an account with multiple servers.
Quick Access
Quick Access provides shortcuts to commonly used server pages without needing to navigate through the full sidebar.
Recent Activity
Recent Activity shows a short history of actions associated with the server. This can include events such as file operations, power actions, and other recorded server changes.
Each activity entry can include information about what happened and when it occurred.
Actions such as uploads, decompression, directory creation, or other file operations can appear here.
Server start, restart, stop, and related actions can be recorded in the activity history.
Use View all activity when you need the full activity history instead of only the recent entries shown on Overview.
How to use Overview
Overview is most useful as a quick health and navigation page. A simple workflow is:
Confirm whether the server is starting, running, stopped, or in another state.
Look for unexpected CPU, RAM, disk, or network activity.
Review Hosting Left when you need to know whether the service is approaching renewal.
Overview shows state and usage; Console shows the actual application output.
Recent Activity can help identify actions that happened before a problem appeared.
