Repair corrupted videos and unplayable CapCut exports

VideoRevive is a Windows video repair application from Volyx. It helps when a video file is damaged, will not open, or cannot be played after exporting. A common example is a CapCut project that reports a completed export but produces a video that your player cannot open.

VideoRevive attempts to repair the exported video file. It does not repair the CapCut application itself or restore an editing project. Keep your original footage and project files whenever they are available.

When should you try VideoRevive?

  • A video exported from CapCut will not open in your usual player.
  • A video appears damaged or corrupted after saving or transferring it.
  • You want to attempt recovery before recreating or exporting the video again.

A playback error alone does not prove that a file is corrupted. An incomplete transfer or an unsupported codec can also cause problems. If the original project still works, exporting a fresh copy is another practical option.

How to get started on Windows

  1. Download VideoRevive using the Windows download button above.
  2. Install and open the application on Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  3. Keep a separate copy of the original video, then select the file you want to repair.
  4. Start the repair attempt and review the result. Play the output through to check both picture and sound.

Why can a video fail after CapCut says export completed?

An export completion message and a playable output are not the same check. The exported file may be incomplete or contain damaged data. Storage problems or an interrupted file transfer can also affect the copy you are trying to play. The exact cause needs to be checked for the individual file; VideoRevive is a repair tool, not a guarantee of a particular diagnosis.

What can video repair recover?

Recovery depends on what data remains in the file and which parts are damaged. Some files may be repairable, while others may have missing media data that a repair process cannot reconstruct. Do not assume every damaged video can be restored or that every successful repair will preserve the original quality.

Check the full output before deleting any original files. Review the beginning, middle, and end of the video, confirm the duration, and listen for audio problems.
