Acceptable Use Policy

Volyx hosting is a shared environment. These rules help protect users, communities, infrastructure, and the services connected to projects hosted on our platform.

Illegal and harmful content

Volyx provides shared infrastructure for legitimate development, hosting and community projects. You must not use Volyx to create, store, distribute or support content or activity that violates applicable law or unlawfully harms other people.

Prohibited uses include child sexual abuse material, unlawful threats, targeted harassment, fraud, phishing, credential theft, malware distribution and material that unlawfully infringes intellectual property rights.

Applications must not impersonate another person, organization or service for deception, including fraudulent giveaways, fake authentication pages and misleading payment requests.

Serious unlawful content or threats may require immediate restriction and referral to the appropriate authorities where required by law.

Sexual content

Volyx is intended for general-purpose developer projects and communities, not services primarily designed to distribute pornography or sexually explicit commercial material.

Hosting non-consensual intimate images, sexual exploitation material, or sexual content involving minors is prohibited. This includes synthetic or AI-generated content where it is unlawful or exploitative.

Ordinary educational discussion, safety tools, content moderation systems and non-explicit conversation are not prohibited merely because they mention adult subjects.

If you are unsure whether a project is appropriate for the service, contact Volyx before deploying it.

Hosting what other people upload

If your application allows other people to submit files or content, you remain responsible for the permissions, security and lawful handling of that information.

Applications may store ordinary operational data such as settings, profiles, moderation records or other information necessary for their features, within the server's available resources.

Do not use a hosting allocation as an unrestricted public file-hosting, piracy, media-distribution or anonymous storage service where that activity conflicts with resource limits or service restrictions.

Provide appropriate upload validation, access controls, content handling and retention practices when your application accepts user-submitted material.

Personal data about other people

Applications may need to process limited personal information to provide legitimate services, for example user IDs, account preferences, moderation records or support data.

Collect only information you are legally permitted to process, use it for legitimate disclosed purposes and protect it from unauthorized access.

Doxxing, unlawful surveillance, credential harvesting, unlawful sharing of breached databases and abusive collection of private information are prohibited.

Do not build applications intended to secretly track individuals across unrelated communities or disclose sensitive information without lawful authorization.

If your project processes personal data, you are responsible for the privacy obligations that apply to your application. See the Volyx Privacy Policy for how Volyx handles information about its own users.

Gambling

Games that use virtual points without a real-world cash value may be acceptable when otherwise lawful and compliant with platform rules.

Do not use Volyx to operate unlawful gambling services, unlicensed real-money wagering or betting systems that violate applicable financial or gaming regulations.

Cryptocurrency, transferable items, cash prizes and similar rewards may create additional legal obligations. Operators are responsible for complying with those rules.

Volyx Coins are platform units used through supported Volyx features; they are not an authorization to operate gambling services.

Political content

Lawful political discussion, general news, educational information and community moderation are not automatically prohibited on Volyx.

Political projects must comply with applicable law, including relevant rules for privacy, election advertising and the use of personal information.

Do not use Volyx for coordinated harassment, deceptive impersonation, unlawful voter suppression, inauthentic mass-account activity or spam intended to manipulate online discussions.

These restrictions address harmful conduct rather than whether Volyx agrees with a particular political opinion.

Sending email

Applications may need to send transactional messages such as account verification, password reset instructions and service notifications.

Use authorized email-delivery systems and respect provider rate limits and recipient permissions. Whether direct outbound SMTP is available depends on your hosting configuration.

Unsolicited bulk marketing, phishing messages, abusive mail campaigns and deliberate evasion of email-provider restrictions are prohibited.

You are responsible for applicable anti-spam and data-protection requirements.

Attacks and unauthorised access

Do not use Volyx infrastructure to attack, overwhelm, probe without authorization or compromise any network, account, application or device.

Prohibited activity includes distributed denial-of-service attacks, credential stuffing, unauthorized scanning, malware deployment, botnets and attempts to bypass infrastructure isolation.

You must not attempt to access another user's files, database, containers, credentials or resources without permission.

Legitimate security testing requires explicit authorization from the system owner and must comply with the applicable rules of both Volyx and the target service.

If you discover a security problem affecting Volyx, report it responsibly through the contact information below.

The rules of the platform you connect to

Applications hosted by Volyx may interact with Discord, Minecraft servers, Telegram, Twitch and other independent platforms.

You must comply with the applicable terms, API requirements, authentication rules and community permissions of those services.

Do not use bots for unsolicited mass messaging, raids, malicious account automation, token theft, evasion of platform bans or activity intended to disrupt other communities.

A project can violate Volyx's rules even where the harmful action takes place through a third-party platform.

Volyx does not control external account suspensions, API restrictions or enforcement decisions.

Automation a platform does not support

Some services restrict automation of normal user accounts or require applications to use an official developer API.

Before deploying an integration, check whether the target platform permits the connection method you intend to use.

Circumventing access restrictions, collecting credentials, bypassing rate limits or using unofficial clients for abuse is prohibited.

You are responsible for the security and compliance of your external accounts, tokens and integrations.

Resource abuse

Volyx operates shared hosting infrastructure. CPU, memory, disk space, networking and other resources are limited according to the allocation shown in your dashboard.

Do not deliberately exhaust shared infrastructure, evade resource controls or interfere with the performance and availability of other users' servers.

Prohibited activity includes unauthorized cryptocurrency mining, resource-exhaustion attacks, abusive network floods and operating workloads designed to bypass assigned limits.

Heavy file distribution, public proxy services, mass scraping or peer-to-peer workloads may be restricted when they threaten service capacity, breach other rules or exceed the applicable allocation.

The Coins system must not be manipulated through artificial activity, duplicate earning sessions, account farming or attempts to obtain hosting resources through abuse.

Volyx may offer reseller-related functionality through authorized features. Using an officially supported reseller feature is not, by itself, a policy violation. Any separate reseller limits and permissions still apply.

Specific resource allocations and expiry rules are displayed within the Volyx dashboard rather than represented as one fixed allocation for all projects.

Reporting abuse

If you believe an application hosted on Volyx violates this policy, provide enough information for the concern to be investigated.

Useful details can include the relevant server or URL, the nature of the activity, approximate timestamps and supporting evidence that you are legally permitted to share.

Do not publicly disclose private keys, passwords, access tokens or sensitive personal information as part of an abuse report.

For abuse reports or general concerns, contact contact@volyx.xyz. Privacy requests should be directed to privacy@volyx.xyz.

How we enforce this

Volyx may review suspected violations and apply restrictions that are proportionate to the situation and consistent with applicable law.

Depending on the seriousness of an issue, action may include a warning, temporary server suspension, restrictions on a feature, account suspension or termination.

Immediate restriction may be necessary when activity creates an active security threat, serious harm, legal risk or material disruption to shared infrastructure.

Where appropriate, users may be given an opportunity to explain or correct an issue. Volyx may need to preserve relevant records for security, investigation or legal purposes.

Creating replacement accounts to evade valid restrictions may result in further enforcement.

If you believe an action was taken in error, contact Volyx with the relevant details so the decision can be reviewed.
