How to generate a Discord bot invite link

  1. Select the permissions your bot needs, or begin with a preset.
  2. Copy your Application ID from the Discord Developer Portal.
  3. Paste the ID above and copy the generated invite. Discord will handle server selection and authorization.

This tool generates a server-install URL. It does not log in to Discord, verify ownership of an application, or install a bot automatically. The application must support server installation and the person authorizing it must have the necessary server access.

What is a Discord permission integer?

Each permission corresponds to a bit. This calculator combines the selected bits into one decimal value using BigInt arithmetic. For example, View Channel and Send Messages combine to 3072. The decoder reverses that operation to show which known flags are present.

If a decoded value contains bits not listed here, the tool shows and preserves those bits when you change known permissions. Use Clear or a preset to start a new selection without them. Unknown bits are not identified as supported permissions.

Permissions, intents, and channel access are different

A permission integer describes requested permissions. It is not a complete simulation of a bot's effective access. Channel overrides and role hierarchy can still affect actions. Privileged Gateway intents, such as message content or member access, are configured separately in the Developer Portal and your bot code.

The invite includes the bot and applications.commands scopes. Command installation is separate from permission flags. The bot scope already includes application commands by default; both scopes are shown explicitly here for clarity.

Choose permissions for the actual features

A chat bot and a moderation bot may need different access. Begin with the smallest useful selection and test the bot in a server you manage. Administrator is not selected by any preset. Granting it does not remove every role-hierarchy restriction.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to enter my bot token?

No. The tool only needs the public Application ID to build a link. Never paste a bot token or client secret into the fields.

Can I decode a permission number?

Yes. Open the decoder, paste a non-negative decimal integer, and choose Load permissions.

Why does my bot still show Missing Permissions?

Check channel overrides, the bot's roles and role position, and the permissions required for the action. Some features also need separate Gateway intents.

Are the presets guaranteed to fit my bot?

No. They are starting selections. Review the permissions against the features implemented by your bot.

Does generating an invite verify my Application ID?

No. The tool validates the ID's numeric format. Discord validates the application when the link is opened.
